Snow in Rome, rare !!

Technically speaking, the climate in Rome is the type called “CSA” for the Köppen classification system. In other words, it is temperate mid-latitude, with hot summers. This is actually a typical Mediterranean climate, mild and pleasant in spring and autumn.

Rain falls occur mainly in autumn and spring, particularly in November and April.
Summer is hot and humid, with occasional droughts. Winter is rather mild, despite strong and sudden cold and rainy breakouts, and rarely, even with snow.

In general, the weather is moderately windy.
